A free, original lullaby written just for the name Tobias — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
Above your bed so high,
Stars are glimmering in the sky,
Soft and bright, they never choose to hide,
Tobias sleeps with them nearby.
Moonbeams paint your room with glow,
Gentle silver, gentle light,
Tobias, feel the calm below,
Stars are watchers of the night.
Twinkle, twinkle, little stars,
Tobias sees you from afar,
Wishing on a bright light,
Painting dreams so very bright.

Origin — Hebrew, via Greek
The Greek form of the Hebrew Toviyyah, “Yahweh is good”.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
Every BabyVerse verse is built around one name and its sound, so Tobias hears their own name carried through the meter rather than dropped into a blank. That is the whole difference between a keepsake and a personalised product: the words could not be reused for another child.
Parents read it at bedtime. Grandparents and godparents frame it. Either way it is the one gift on the table that no one else can duplicate — which is why it tends to outlast everything else in the pile.
