A Nursery Rhyme for Benjamin
A free, original lullaby written just for the name Benjamin — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
Benjamin's Starry Night
Little Benjamin, soft and small,
Cradled where the moonbeams fall,
Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
As the gentle night wind blows.
Stars above like diamonds bright,
Wrap Benjamin in silver light,
Every twinkle sings a tune,
Underneath the velvet moon.
Benjamin dreams on clouds of white,
Bathed in starshine, warm and bright,
Angels hum a lullaby,
As the moon sails through the sky.

What does the name Benjamin mean?
Origin — Hebrew
From the Hebrew Binyamin, “son of the right hand”.
In Genesis his mother names him Ben-Oni, “son of my sorrow”, as she dies; his father renames him — one of the few explicit renamings in the text.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
