A free, original lullaby written just for the name Nova — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
Little Nova, soft and small,
Stars above you shine on all,
Silver light so bright and near,
Moon above you sings right here.
Night so calm and deep and blue,
Every star says, "we love you,"
Skies are softly glowing bright,
Wrapping Nova tight tonight.
Nova dreams in gentle rays,
Moonbeams dance in silver ways,
Starlight rocks you, slow and true,
All the sky watches over you.

Origin — Latin
From the Latin nova, “new”. In astronomy a nova is a star that suddenly brightens — from stella nova, “new star”.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
Every BabyVerse verse is built around one name and its sound, so Nova hears their own name carried through the meter rather than dropped into a blank. That is the whole difference between a keepsake and a personalised product: the words could not be reused for another child.
Parents read it at bedtime. Grandparents and godparents frame it. Either way it is the one gift on the table that no one else can duplicate — which is why it tends to outlast everything else in the pile.
