A free, original lullaby written just for the name Ezra — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
The silver moon begins to rise
And paints the evening skies
The little stars begin to peep
While all the shadows sleep
A gentle glow shines from afar
On every glowing star
So rest your head and peacefully lie
Beneath the velvet sky
The night is soft, the air is still
Upon the windowsill
The moon and stars watch over you
Dear Ezra, slumber too

Origin — Hebrew
From the Hebrew Ezra, “help”.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
Every BabyVerse verse is built around one name and its sound, so Ezra hears their own name carried through the meter rather than dropped into a blank. That is the whole difference between a keepsake and a personalised product: the words could not be reused for another child.
Parents read it at bedtime. Grandparents and godparents frame it. Either way it is the one gift on the table that no one else can duplicate — which is why it tends to outlast everything else in the pile.
