A free, original lullaby written just for the name Cyrus — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
Cyrus Under Stars
Cyrus sleeps where moonlight glows,
Wrapped in night's repose,
Tiny hands, so still and warm,
Safe from any storm.
Silver stars begin to play,
Twinkling soft and gay,
Cyrus smiles in dreamy rest,
Stars above him blessed.
Moonbeams dance on baby's face,
Full of gentle grace,
Cyrus drifts on clouds so high,
Beneath the starry sky.

What does the name Cyrus mean?
Origin — Old Persian, via Greek
From the Greek Kyros, rendering the Old Persian Kūruš, the name of the founder of the Achaemenid empire.
Where sources disagree: The meaning is disputed. “Young”, “sun” and “humiliator of the enemy” have all been proposed; the ancient Greeks themselves offered “sun”, which is probably folk etymology.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
