A free, original lullaby written just for the name Aspen — ready to read tonight or turn into a keepsake poster.
Little Aspen, soft and small,
The moonbeams gently fall,
Silver light begins to gleam,
Aspen drifts into a dream.
Stars above begin to play,
Watching over Aspen's day,
Twinkling bright in skies so deep,
Guarding Aspen's peaceful sleep.
Nighttime wraps the world in blue,
Aspen, we cherish you,
Glowing stars will softly keep,
Their watch while you are asleep.

Origin — Old English
From the tree, Old English æspe. The leaves are set on flattened stalks, which is why they tremble in the lightest wind.
We follow the standard reference works on given names, and we say so plainly when a meaning is unsettled rather than choosing the prettiest one.
Every BabyVerse verse is built around one name and its sound, so Aspen hears their own name carried through the meter rather than dropped into a blank. That is the whole difference between a keepsake and a personalised product: the words could not be reused for another child.
Parents read it at bedtime. Grandparents and godparents frame it. Either way it is the one gift on the table that no one else can duplicate — which is why it tends to outlast everything else in the pile.
