Personalized nursery-rhyme keepsakes
An Adoption Gift Built Around Their Name
A personalized rhyme written for the child's name — whether it is a name they arrived with, a name the family chose, or both held together. A keepsake for the day the household became what it is now.

Why a name-centred gift fits this occasion
Adoption gifts are unusually easy to get wrong. Most baby-gift language assumes a pregnancy, a due date and a newborn, and lands badly on a family who waited two years and brought home a four-year-old. The safest ground — and the warmest — is the child themselves.
A verse written around their name works because a name is the one thing that is unambiguously theirs. It does not narrate the family’s story, make claims about where the child came from, or assume an age. It simply says: this person, by name, is worth writing something for.
Names that changed, and names that did not
Families handle names differently, and the keepsake follows whatever you decide. Some children keep the name they were given at birth. Some are given a new first name with the original kept as a middle. Some have a name from one language sitting beside one from another. Any of those can be the name the rhyme is written for, and you can add a line of your own beneath it.
If the child is old enough to have an opinion, ask them which name they want on the wall. It is a small question and, for a child who has recently had a great many decisions made on their behalf, not a small thing to be asked.
For the wait, and for afterwards
Plenty of people order one during the waiting period — matched but not yet home — and frame it for the room that is standing empty. Others give it months after the arrival, once the initial rush of visitors has gone quiet and the family is in the harder, less-photographed part.
That later window is worth considering if you are a friend rather than family. Adoption tends to attract a burst of attention and then silence. A keepsake that turns up in week ten, addressed to the child by name, arrives when very little else does.

Adoption gift FAQ
Does the rhyme mention adoption?
Not unless you add that yourself. The verse is written around the child’s name and is deliberately free of any narrative about how the family came together — that story belongs to the family to tell, in their own words and their own time. If you want to mark the occasion, you can add a short personal line.
Our child is older, not a baby. Does this still work?
Yes. The verse is built from the name rather than from a stage of life, and older children often respond to it more strongly than infants do, because they can read it. Many families frame it for a bedroom rather than a nursery.
The name is changing. Should we wait?
If a legal name change is in progress, it is usually worth waiting until it is settled, since the keepsake is built around one specific spelling. If a child is keeping a birth name as a middle name, families often use the full name so both are present on the wall.
What if it is not right for the family?
Every order is covered by our 30-day happiness guarantee. If the keepsake is not something you are glad to give, reach out within 30 days and we will make it right.
